TFS completed the supply and installation of various fire and security systems at the new Shakespeare Theatre, Liverpool
We recently completed the supply and installation of the fire alarm, CCTV, access control, disabled refuge, disabled toilet alarm, intruder alarm, induction loop and aspiration systems at the new Shakespeare North Playhouse.
For this project we worked with seven manufacturers on the following services;
- Fire Alarm - Advanced & Hochiki
- CCTV - Hikvision
- Access Control - Paxton
- Disabled Refuge - Honeywell
- Disabled Toilet Alarm - C-TEC
- Induction Loop - C-TEC
- Intruder Alarm - Galaxy
The new playhouse is set to open in Summer 2022 and was inspired by a theatre that was located in the town of Prescot in the 1590's, which is thought to have been the only purpose-built indoor playhouse outside of London.
At the heart of the theatre is a traditional 470 seat timber framed Shakespearean theatre, set to host a mix of performances including theatre, music, comedy and more. Alongside the main theatre space, activities and performances will also spill out into the exhibition gallery, Studio and Sir Ken Dodd Performance Garden, creating an accessible space where everyone is welcome.
The Shakespeare North Playhouse is operated by Shakespeare North Trust, and the new theatre is a regeneration project designed to reawaken the local town and buildings, and establish Prescot as being a thriving part of Liverpool's City Region.
Thanks to our established partnerships with all mentioned manufacturers, we were able to work efficiently and produce a project that would meet the customers' expectations.
Client Testimonial:
"We are delighted to say that TFS successfully completed the fire and security install at Shakespeare North Playhouse, a new and unique cultural asset in Prescot, Knowsley. We were very happy with the services they provided and their proactive approach with design. We were particularly pleased with the work of Ian Gratrix who was particularly helpful in both the design and installation coordination with other trades. He was a valued member of the whole Shakespeare North Playhouse team."
