Southern Project Manager
Job Description
Overview
Tailored Fire & Security have an exciting opportunity for an experience Project Manager to join the team covering the South of the UK. You will be predominantly based from our office based in Chatham Kent and will then be attending client’s sites.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently through all stages of a project’s lifestyle. You will be building and maintaining relationships with M&E; Contractors, Sub-Contractors and internal staff. You will be reporting directly to the Branch Director. As the Branch Director is based in our Oldham Branch, you will be a strong and self-sufficient Project Manager who can work with little guidance and with a Proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the management of project delivery outputs, including programme of works, financial information, health & safety, environmental performance and progress for all allocated schemes.
• Responsible for the day to day management of Multiple concurrent projects, ensuring the successful delivery of the projects.
• To ensure that you are compliant with the company’s procedures and in line with British Standards.
• To manage the project team effectively, ensuring they all have clear objects to ensure delivery of project.
• To take ownership of the profitability of the projects and have overall responsibility of the financial position.
• To be able to report and work closely with the Brach Director, giving updates on the projects.
• To complete contract documentation.
• To prepare estimates and quotations.
• To be able to build and maintain string relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Procurement of plant, materials and specialist sub-contractors.
• To ensure that all contract documentation is prepared in line with the client specifications and timeframes.
What we require from the Project Manager:
• Excellent communication skills to be able to build and maintain working relationships with both internal staff and external contractors.
• Experience on managing both Fire & Security systems is essential.
• Ability to take a proactive approach and self-manage with little guidance.
• Ability to organise yourself and others.
• Project Management experience within the Fire & Security Industry
• ECS Card.
• Computer literate, including all Microsoft Programmes.
• Travel to clients sites across the South of the UK.
• Attend the Oldham office as and when required.
