Project Manager

Job Description

Tailored Fire & Security are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the projects and installations functions of the business.

Position Title: Project Manager
Team: National Contracts
Employment Status: Full Time | 40 Hours | Monday to Friday | 8:00am to 4:30pm
Reports To: Operations Director

We are an award-winning Fire and Security company with impressive year on year growth and due to the expansion of our Installations department, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to ensure the smooth running of all the installations within the company.

You will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently through all stages of a project's life cycle.

We are looking for an aspirational, driven & influential individual to lead the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation with upcoming projects where you will be an integral part of the team.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Duties will include but not limited to;
• Responsible for the management of project delivery outputs, including programme, financial information, health & safety, environmental performance and progress for all allocated schemes.
• Responsible for the day to day management of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring the successful delivery of the projects.
• To ensure that you are compliant with the companies' procedures and in line with British Standards.
• To manage the project team effectively, ensuring they all have clear objectives to ensure delivery of project.
• To take ownership of the profitability of the project and have overall responsibility of the financial position.
• To be able to report, and work closely with the Branch Director, giving updates on the projects.
• To complete contract documentation.
• To prepare estimates and quotations.
• To be able to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Procurement of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors.
• To ensure that all contract documentation is prepared in line with the client specifications and timeframes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to take a proactive approach
• Be able to organise yourself and others
• Self-motivation
• Experience working in the Fire & Security industry
• Experience of project management
• SMSTS Card
• Computer literate, including all Microsoft programmes
• Experience using CAD advantegous
• Travel to and from customer sites is an essential part of the role, all our clients are based across the North of the country however occasional travel may be required anywhere inside or outside of the UK subject to the needs of the business

• Full clean driving license is essential

Fire and Security Engineer

Job Description

Tailored Fire & Security are looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join our Service and Maintenance function of the business.

Position Title: Fire and Security Engineer
Team: Service
Employment Status: Full Time | 40 Hours | Monday to Friday | 8:00am to 4:30pm + Travel
Reports To: Service Director
Location: Various Locations Throughout the UK

We are an award-winning Fire and Security company with impressive year on year growth and due to the expansion of our service department we are looking for an experienced, aspirational & driven Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation with upcoming projects where you will be an integral part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
• To carry out reactive & preventative maintenance and additional works to existing fire & security systems.
• To ensure that pre-planned maintenance schedules are kept up to date. This is done by our internal CASH system and is supported by the Service Co-Ordinator.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and with all levels of the business.
• Ability to work as part of a team and assist with other general tasks where required across the business.
• Assist and escort visiting contractors where necessary.
• Fault finding and defect rectification, some installation work may be required.
• Become familiar with the structure of the department and the various client sites.
• Complete all duties assigned in a safe manner, observing all required regulations.
• Investigate the performance of equipment installed onsite to produce reports and recommendations.
• To mentor and develop any apprentice engineers that may be placed with you.

As an experienced engineer you will have experience in PPM and Fault Finding providing a first time fix on various fire & security systems including Gent, Advanced, Milestone, Hik, Galaxy, Telecom, Sateon, Lenel and Paxton.
As the successful candidate, you will be able to manage yourself whilst onsite and be able to use your own initiative. You will have good communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships on site with clients. You will have a good understanding of Health & Safety and be able to identify risks whilst on site.

Other Requirements
• Tailored Fire & Security are NSI Gold Approved and therefore screen all engineers in line with BS7858 and DBS Checked.

Job Description

Tailored Fire & Security are looking for an experienced Fire and Security Installations Engineer to join our Contracts and Installations function of the business.

We are an award-winning Fire and Security company with impressive year on year growth and due to the expansion of our contracts department we are looking for an experienced, aspirational & driven Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation with upcoming projects where you will be an integral part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
Must have full competency in Fire, Intruder, CCTV, Fire and Access Systems installation but additional training will be given.
As an Installation Engineer you will need to have experience in:
• PAC
• Paxton
• Texecom
• Galaxy
• Hikvision
• Avigilon
• Lenel
• IP Systems

As the successful candidate, you will be able to manage yourself whilst onsite and be able to use your own initiative. You will have good communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships on site with clients. You will have a good understanding of Health & Safety and be able to identify risks whilst on site.

Fire & Security Installation Engineer Position Requirements - Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience installing fire detection systems including alarms
• At least 5 years' experience
• A good understating of installation/electrical procedures and principles related to the fire and security industry
• FIA 1,2,3 qualified
• Full understanding BS5839
